By downloading, installing, or using the BITE app ("the App") or visiting our website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. About BITE

BITE is a bakery discovery app that helps users find and explore bakeries. We provide bakery information including locations, opening hours, products, and user reviews. While we strive for accuracy, bakery details may change without notice and we cannot guarantee all information is up to date.

3. User accounts

To access certain features (such as writing reviews), you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when registering
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Be responsible for all activity under your account
• Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User content

When you submit content (reviews, ratings, suggestions, feedback), you agree that:

• Your content is truthful and based on genuine experience
• You will not post offensive, defamatory, or misleading content
• You grant BITE a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content within the App and website
• You retain ownership of your content and can request its deletion at any time

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or is reported as inappropriate.

5. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to scrape, harvest, or collect user data from the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Post spam, fake reviews, or promotional content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts

6. Bakery information

BITE aggregates bakery information for discovery purposes. We are not affiliated with the bakeries listed unless stated otherwise. Opening hours, product availability, and other details are provided as-is and may not reflect real-time changes. Always confirm directly with the bakery for critical information.

7. Intellectual property

The BITE app, website, logo, and original content are owned by BITE. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials without permission. Bakery photos and information are used with permission or sourced from publicly available data.

8. Limitation of liability

BITE is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to inaccurate bakery information, service interruptions, or data loss. Use the App at your own discretion.

9. Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the App or by emailing us. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data and reviews. Some anonymised data may be retained for analytical purposes.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes via the App or email.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
